Delhi - The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that the future of the fight against Corona will be largely determined by the steps taken by a country populated and as an India. However, the world's largest health institution praised India's efforts in eradicating deadly diseases such as smallpox and polio, calling it the greatest gift to humanity. At the same time, WHO said that while leading this fight, India should show what should happen and how it can be done.
On the issue of ABP News at the World Press Conference on Corona Virus Crisis in Geneva, Mike Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization's Public Health Emergency Program, said that India, like China, is a country with a large population. Therefore, the future of this epidemic is very large in very large and densely populated countries. In such a situation, it is very important that India keep taking aggressive measures to prevent, suppress and save lives at the level of public health and society.
Giving the ability to deal with the corona virus crisis, Ryan said, "We believe that India has tremendous potential." When communities come together, civil society is united, and governments run, the goal is achieved. WHO senior officer Ryan said that a country like India should move forward. The world must show what can be done. India has shown in the past that when aggressive community health measures are taken, there is an effort to end the epidemic from the society to the authority level.
Earlier, WHO director Dr Tedross Adhénom Ghebreyesis said that not only defensive, but also aggressive measures should be taken in a fight with Corona. By asking people to stay home and socializing, we are only taking time. These are defensive measures, but aggressive measures should be taken for each case identification, contact tracking, and test contacts, the only way we can defeat this virus.
According to the WHO, the Kovid 19 epidemic is spreading rapidly. While it took 67 days to touch the first one lakh patients, the number of two lakhs reached in just 11 days. This count has crossed three lakhs in just four days. Almost every country in the world is affected by it.
