*Government declares entire Kashmir division s Red Zone*

*Out of 09 districts of Jammu, 03 declared Red, 03 Orange and 03 Green*

Srinagar, May 04, CNS: One day after Divisional Administration of Kashmir division was reported to have decided to treat the entire Kashmir region as Red Zone without any relaxation, despite the Union Home Ministry classified only four districts as the Red Zone, the formal order to this effect was issued on Sunday, through which entire Kashmir division was declared a Red Zone.

According to CNS an order was issued by the government, under number 48-JK (DMRRR) of 2020, which stated that a detailed review was conducted  on the basis of an overall situation regarding the COVID-19 spread in Jammu and Kashmir.

Following the assessment of the situation a decision was reached to declare, whole Kashmir valley as Red Zone.

Besides all the 10 districts of Kashmir, three districts of Jammu division, Jammu, Samba and Kathua have also been declared Red Zones.

Among the other districts of Jammu division Reasi, Ramban, Udhampur and Rajouri have been declared Orange and Doda, Kishtiwar and Poonch as Green Zones.

The order further said that this classification of districts into Red, Orange and Green zones, will be reviewed periodically and any further modifications will be made by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, keeping in view any further developments or instructions from Ministry of Home and Family Welfare and Ministry  of Home Affairs Government of India.  (CNS)
