Intelligence reports suggest taking urgent measures to protect minorities in Kashmir: Chrungoo
Jammu, CNS, 29-Nov: Senior BJP & KP leader, Incharge, Deptt of Political Feedback, BJP-J&K Ashwani kumar churngoo said that
Intelligence reports clearly suggest taking measures to protect the Hindu and Sikh minorities in Kashmir with a full focus on the PM package employees working in the valley.
"The reports as appeared in the media today that 'according to intelligence inputs, Pakistan-based militanthandlers have instructed their proxies operating in Kashmir to ensure at least 10 civilian deaths whenever the security forces undertake counter-miltancy operations' is a greatly worrisome input received".,churngoo said.
Chrungoo was reacting to the news reports published today in this regard. The statement of the Jammu and Kashmir police chief, Dilbag Singh saying that 'the ongoing investigation into the Hyderpora encounter suggests that the militants were supported by a network in carrying out terror activities' points to a serious kind of situation that needs to be brought under control as soon as possible. The security scenario that prevailed particularly over the last three months in the valley is certainly spreading scare among the minorities in Kashmir.
The KP leader said, "Though it is true that a 'refined' approach to deal with militancy has been put in place under a more nuanced framework of better coordination among the Jammu and Kashmir police, the intelligence agencies and the Army with an aim at minimising collateral damage, yet the minority population at grave risk require to be given a real sense of security in addition to physical security".
The government is expected to take a serious view of the input received by it from its own intelligence agencies. The minority community government employees in the valley should be extended compassion, empathy and understanding by the administration so far as their routine duties are concerned. It is a very tough time for them when they are on target always in the valley. There can't be any sort of complacency on the part of the government and the administration. Moreover, the administration is supposed to have a well knit lias-on with the minority community in the valley in order to ensure their safety and security, added Chrungoo.(CNS)
