KGA Launches smart LPG cylinders in Srinagar 

Srinagar,CNS,18-July;In tune with the ever changing needs of kitchen, the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) introduced a new cylinder for its customers called the Composite cylinder. One of the main features of this new cylinder is that you will get to analyse how much gas is left and how much has been spent, said Proprietor of Kashmir Gas Agency, Jagmohan Singh Raina.

While launching the smart cylinders in Srinagar, Director CAPD, Abdul Salaam Mir said that the composite cylinders are lightweight and the tare weight of a composite cylinder is half of its steel counterpart. Customers will be able to track the LPG level against light because of the translucent body which will help customers plan their next refill easily.
“Lifting a steel cylinder for women was a difficult task, but this cylinder made of fiber glass is safe and the most convenient in weight. The weight of a composite cylinder is half of that of steel,” Mir said.

While Speaking to CNS, Raina said that these composite cylinders are aesthetically designed and looks visually appealing and ideal for modern kitchens. “The cylinders are rust-free and not prone to corrosion which reduces the chances of leaving stains and marks on surfaces”,he added.

Meanwhile, Consumers can replace their existing steel cylinder with the composite cylinder by paying the difference in security deposit.
The security deposit for the domestic non-subsidized category is kept at Rs. 3350 for the 10 kg variant.(CNS)
