NIA Appeals for Public Help in Pahalgam Terror Attack Investigation

New Delhi, May 7, CNS:- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued a public appeal seeking additional information, photographs, and videos related to the recent Pahalgam terror attack that targeted tourists in Kashmir. The attack, which occurred on April 22, 2025, left 26 tourists dead and several others injured.
In a statement released on its official website and social media platforms, the NIA urged tourists, visitors, and local residents who were in or around Pahalgam during the time of the attack to come forward with any material that could aid the investigation.

The agency is particularly interested in photographs or videos that may inadvertently contain crucial clues about the attackers or their modus operandi. “We appeal to anyone who might have seen, heard or captured any detail related to the attack to contact us immediately,” the NIA said.

The public can reach the NIA via mobile at 9654958816 or landline at 011-24368800. Callers are requested to provide their personal details and a brief description of the information they wish to share. A senior agency official will then coordinate the secure sharing of the relevant materials.

The NIA has already collected a significant number of visuals from the crime scene and is closely analyzing them. With many more images and videos circulating on social media platforms, the agency has intensified efforts to ensure that no piece of evidence is overlooked.

Teams from the NIA have been stationed in Pahalgam since the attack, combing the site for forensic evidence and interviewing eyewitnesses in a bid to piece together the sequence of events and identify those responsible for the attack, which has been widely condemned as a “crime against humanity.”

The agency reiterated its commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice and appealed to the public to assist in uncovering the conspiracy behind the unprecedented and targeted attack.(CNS)
