Auto Driver Convicted for attacking Cops on duty 

Srinagar, CNS, 09 Sep: Bandipora Court Convicted Auto driver for attacking Traffic Cops during checking of documents and has Sentenced the accused to 06 months imprisonment and fine.
As per reports to Current News Service Hon’ble court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Bandipora Tawseef Ahmad Mir (KCS) today convicted Local Auto driver of Bandipora Village Identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Lone R/O Nusoo, Bandipora for assault on duty Traffic Police team headed by SO Traffic and Causing hurt to deter public servant from their duties during checking of documents in Year 2014.

On 27-04-2014 during traffic checking one passenger Auto bearing Registration No: JK15-1907 was found without driving license & valid PUC and accordingly one court challan was prepared against the accused.

The Auto driver got agitated on it and started abusing the complainant and then he took a wheel Range out of his auto and attacked on the cops on spot, which led to injury to two persons preventing them from performing their duties.

Accordingly, FIR  No 11/2014 was registered in police station Argam Bandipora and finally Challan Was Presented before the court.

Prosecution was represented by Senior Prosecuting officer Abdul Rashid Mir who has Contested the Case and has produced near about Six Witnesses by which APP finally Succeed to Prove his Case.

While Passing detailed order of 33 Pages,  Tawseef Ahmad Mir (KCS) has Sentenced the accused  to 06 months imprisonment and fine of Rs 500 for offence under section 353 RPC, 03 months for offence u/s 332 and fine of Rs 5000 and one month for offence u/s 201 RPC.(CNS)
